Two airshows in the one year. A little unusual for me at the time, but when you get the opportunity to photograph aircraft in flight, you take it. Particularly when it’s the last public performance of one of the RAAF’s most iconic aircraft, the FA 18 Legacy Hornet. Even though this was one of the major aspects of the airshow, what was big for me was my first chance to watch the F4U Corsair soar through the skies. Although I got a couple of decent shots from this airshow, I was fighting my camera the whole day. It was just struggling to lock on focus. A scratched sensor didn’t help. More work to do with regard to learning how to take good aerial shots, but as always, it was a step towards being better. Check them out!
