Wings Over the Pacific - Hawaii 27/9/14

This is where my aerial photography journey began. I’d never photographed an airshow before this one. I took my Canon 1000D with me and the kit lenses that came with it and started photographing. It was an enjoyable experience and I was pretty happy with the results at the time. Reflecting back on this event, I know I would do things slightly differently now. For instance, I always shoot in raw now. Being able to bring out details is a great benefit of shooting in the raw format. I have tried to bring out details in the following photos, with variable degrees of success, but it’s all a learning curve. I sure hope I get to have another shot at photographing the Blue Angels.
